What to bring!

  • Swimming costume (+ sea gloves & shoes if you have them!)

  • 2 x Towels (one to sit on, one to dry off)

  • Water

  • Warm clothes to change into for Rusty Oven

Your meal at Rusty Oven is not included in your ticket price. Please be ready to bank transfer the cost of your meal.

Free parking at Portnablagh Pier, we will then drive into town for Pizza!

Why bother?

There are so many benefits to a Finnish sauna…

Inflamation

Heat shock proteins in our cells are activated by the intense heat. These proteins reduce inflammation in our bodies and aid recovery from injury.

Relaxation & Mental Health

The heat relaxes your muscles. When your physical body relaxes, the mind and emotions tend to follow suit. Endorphins are released and cortisol decreases alleviating anxiety and depression.

Cardiovascular Health

Sauna use has a similar effect on the body as moderate exercise. Studies in Finland have shown that regular sauna use can decrease your chance of stroke, lower blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health and reduce risk of dementia & Alzheimer's disease.
